Students have waited for such a long time because of the covid-19.

After staying at home for about eight months, more than 1 million students who study in Wuhan start coming back to school.

Some returned students said that their emotional connection to their universities and the city have become even deeper despite a long separation.

More than 9,100 students have returned to Wuhan University some eight months after the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic in the once hard-hit city.

Zhang Shaodong, head of the Undergraduate College of Wuhan University, said the courses, covering 106 subjects, are designed to reinforce and supplement the online courses offered during the epidemic to ensure teaching quality.
