Eligibility Requirements
• Be a non-Chinese citizen with a valid identity document.
• Apply from overseas, or be an outstanding graduate of a Chinese university with an official recommendation.
• Hold a bachelor’s degree (for master’s applicants) or a master’s degree (for doctoral applicants) in a related field.
• Demonstrate excellent academic performance and meet the specific requirements of the applied program.
• Be in good physical and mental health; aged 35 or below for master’s programs and 40 or below for doctoral programs.
• Language Proficiency: For Chinese-taught programs, achieve HSK Level 5 or higher (exempt if you graduated from a Chinese university with Chinese as the medium of instruction). For English-taught programs, have an IELTS score of ≥ 6.0, a TOEFL score of ≥ 80 (including MyBest Scores), or provide proof of previous studies conducted in English.
• Not be in receipt of any other scholarships for the 2026/27 academic year.

• Provisional acceptance letter from a potential supervisor

• Non-criminal record report (issued within the past 6 months)
