"VR Empowers·Boundless Visions–Innovative Technology Exploration Day" Successfully Held by Qingdao University

To enrich international students’ extracurricular cultural experiences, expand their technological perspectives, and foster innovative thinking, the School of International Education at Qingdao University, in partnership with Goertek Inc., successfully hosted the "VR Empowers·Boundless Visions – Innovative Technology Exploration Day" at Minxing Building on the afternoon of October 16. Over 30 participants, including international students and Chinese postgraduates from Qingdao University, actively joined in, immersing themselves in the captivating experiences enabled by virtual reality (VR) technology and embracing the cutting-edge allure of integrating technology with education.Kicking off the event, the organizing team delivered a clear and engaging overview of VR technology – covering its developmental journey, core mechanisms, and innovative applications across diverse sectors – helping students establish a holistic understanding of this transformative technology. Subsequently, under the thorough guidance and support of professional staff, international students explored a range of VR devices in small groups. From hands-on operation to technical nuances, the team addressed students’ queries with patience, ensuring every participant could safely and seamlessly enjoy the immersive technological adventure. The venue buzzed with energy, marked by frequent interactions and shared excitement.
This activity not only allowed students to firsthand experience the joy and wonder of VR technology but also created an interactive platform that blends technological exploration with cross-cultural exchange. Throughout the experience, students broadened their horizons, deepened mutual understanding through communication, and reignited their passion for exploring the unknown and embracing innovation.
