Located in Changsha, a famous capital city of Hunan Province distinguished with places of great historical and cultural interest, Hunan Normal University has inherited the great tradition of the broad and profound Huxiang Culture and has cultivated a good atmosphere for academic research in liberal arts. Since its founding in 1938, the University has experienced 72 years of growth,  and established 24 colleges,  51 research institutions and 13 State Talent Training and Research Bases or Centers. HNU highly values the academic exchanges with foreign universities and educational institutions abroad, and has educated about 4,000 international students.

The International College of Chinese Language and Culture of this university is specially designed to offer the Chinese language course to the oversea students and get a very high HSK passing rate.
