Vice President of SNNU Zhang Jianxiang Returned from the Tour of Inspection to U.S.

Vice President of Shaanxi Normal University (SNNU) Zhang Jianxiang was invited to join in the capacity-building training for presidents of Chinese universities of Sino-American 1+2+1 Dual-Degree Program by Ministry of Education and made a visit to America. The whole visit was a great success.

During the visit in America, Zhang Jianxiang paid a visit to some American universities which are subordinate to Sino-American 1+2+1 Dual-Degree Program, including George Mason University, Salam State College, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Northern Arizona University, California State University San Bernardino, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and other universities. He held consultations with the representatives of those universities about the matters concerning cooperation and discussed matters relating to The China-US Fulbright Program with International Scholar Exchange Committee.

He also signed an agreement about Sino-American 1+2+1 Dual-Degree Program with George Mason University, which lays the foundations for further cooperation between SNNU and George Mason University. Then he paid a return visit to University of Massachusetts Boston and ascertained the contracts of advanced studies ,signed in May, for teachers and exchange students between two universities. The above programs will be started up soon and will dispatch exchange teachers and students in the following autumn.
