Important Points You Should Know Before Applying Online

1.PayEase: It is a convenient, safe and easy online payment platform, supporting Master Card and VISA cards.
2.PayPal: PayPal is a secure, simple, and convenient way of paying. For those who have not used PayPal before, you can create an account on their website
3.Bank Transfer (T/T) in China: Applicants who are currently in China can do a direct bank transfer to pay the application fee in CNY
4.Bank Transfer (T/T) Overseas: Applicants who are not in China can pay the application fee in US Dollars by a bank transfer
5.Western Union: For applicants who cannot use T/T or PayPal payments, SICAS recommends you to use Western Union (especially African applicants)
Reminder:Please keep in mind that it is not until the payment has been confirmed will the applied university start for processing. In other words, universities will only start to process the applications which have been paied )

Qualifications and Deadline of Application
Any non-Chinese citizen holding a valid foreign passport who wishes to come to study at Hunan University may apply directly to the Overseas Students' Office of the College of International Studies, Hunan University.

Application Materials

Application form is prerequisite, and every university has its own version. SICAS will guide you step by step to fill the exact one when you click”Apply now” on the page of your favorite course.
Be sure to prepare fully the following documents before starting online application. You will be asked to upload attachments in the application progress.
1. Application Form for International Students of Hunan University;
2. Diploma and/or certificate and transcripts;
3. Photocopy of the passport (the photo page);
4. Applicants for master's and doctoral degree and advanced scholar program must provide letters of recommendation by two full professors or associate professors.

Admission

The College of International Studies, Hunan University, reviews the application documents and issues letters of acceptance to successful applicants.

Programs Open to Foreign Applicants

Overseas applicants have the following options of study at Hunan University:

4-Year Undergraduate Program

A diploma and a bachelor's degree are awarded upon the completion of all required courses and successful thesis-defense.

3-Year Master's Program

A diploma and a master's degree are awarded after the acquisition of full credits and successful thesis-defense. Courses are instructed in both English (international class) and Chinese.

3-Year Doctoral Program

A diploma and a doctoral degree are awarded after the acquisition of full credits and success in both research work and dissertation defense.

Chinese Language Courses

A certificate of completion is awarded upon the successful completion of Chinese language course study.

Chinese Culture Courses

Courses are tailor-made for groups or individuals intending to stay in China for a short period of time either to learn Chinese culture or to have field practice. The subjects involved are Chinese history, culture, language, politics, economics, law, environment, etc. The languages of instruction are Chinese, English, Japanese, and so on. These courses aim at exposing the students to Chinese history, culture and the current situations of China.

Short-term Classes on Huxiang Culture

1-week to 8-week programs which expose students to Huxiang Culture enable them to learn basic Chinese, to experience the profound Huxiang Culture and to enjoy the pleasure to study together with Chinese students. Outdoor activities and visits are arranged besides indoor classes.
