Computer Applied Technology

The master program was authorized in 2005 by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and is one of the first key provincial- and ministerial- level disciplines approved by both the Ministry of Information Industry and Chongqing municipality. It is equipped with a computer network and communication technology key laboratory approved by the Ministry of Information Industry and Chongqing municipality, and scientific research bases such as Sino-South Korea GIS Institute.
The discipline is to train specialized talents with a solid theoretical foundation of computer science and technology, a systematic master of expertise of computer hardware and software, computer system structure and computer application technology, a familiarity with computer hardware and software environment and tools, an ability to address theoretical and practical problems in other disciplines, especially in the field of communications and information-processing by applying computer technology and intersecting with those disciplines.
