The discipline, granted the master-degree program in 1993, is a key discipline of the Ministry of Information Industry and Chongqing Municipality, and one of the first disciplines to set the post of Bayu academic scholars in Chongqing Municipality, and is, at the same time , one of the 14 key disciplines listed for privileged construction during the "10th Five-Year-Plan".
