Ideological and political education

Ideological and political education as a discipline is aimed to explore the laws in the ideological, moral formation and development and the laws of ideological and political education by adopting Marxist theories and methods in order to cultivate the students' correct world outlooks on the world, life and values.
The discipline aims to train people with a firm Marxism belief, a systematic knowledge of the Marxism principles and the Chinese version of Marxist theory, a comprehensive grasp of the ideological and political education theory and methods. They should be familiar with the ideological and moral formation and development and the laws of ideological and political education , have a good master of a foreign language and can understand literature in their own field in that language., know about the latest developments in their area, and qualify themselves for teaching, scientific research, party government league work, and student education and management concerned with the discipline.
The discipline has a rationally-structured academic echelon of professors and associate professor, with fruits in ideological and political work and research within the information network environment, and has developed a subject of its own characteristics. Teachers in the discipline have carried out a number of national social science fund projects and provincial & ministerial research projects.
