By Air



Fuzhou Changle International Airport (FOC) is situated in a sandy area of southeast Zhanggang Town, Changle City, some 50 kilometers (about 31 miles) from the city center, and is a modern, seashore based International airport. There are now more than 80 domestic and international airlines to approximately 55 cities. Domestic services include flights from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Jinan, Shenyang, Harbin, Chongqing, Chengdu, Zhengzhou, Kunming, Haikou, Urumqi and Xian, etc. International services include flights from Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Osaka to Fuzhou City. There are also daily scheduled flights from Hong Kong and Macau.

By Train

Fuzhou Railway Station is the transportation hub of Fujian Province. It is located at the north end of Hualin Lu, in the northern part of the downtown area. Fuzhou station is connected with the national railway network and operates services to Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao, Zhengzhou, Nanjing, Nanchang, Guiyang, Changsha, Hefei, Chengdu, Chongqing, and Shenzhen. 


Apart from the ticket offices set within the railway stations, there are also thirty-eight ticket offices in total all over the city, which greatly facilitate people to choose the nearest to them. 


Bus routes to the railway station: 2, 5, 17, 18, 20, 26, 51, 810, 821, 905, 917, 949, 951 and 966, also Yaxiya Zhuanxian (Asia Special Line), Xi/Dong Er' Huan Zhuanxian (Western/eastern 2nd Ring Road Special Line) and Nongda Zhuanxian (Agricultural University Special Line) to Fuzhou downtown for the ticket of CNY1. 

Train tickets can be bought in the ticket office usually seven days prior to the departure date. During some traditional festivals like Spring Festival, tourists can buy their ticket eight days or more in advance.

By Water

The Port of Fujian is a foreign trade harbor and an important river port of the Yangtze River. It operates many international shipping lines to thirty ports of over twenty countries in the world. The port is located on the west bank of Taiwan Strait and composed of an estuary port and sea port regions. There are special railway lines in Mawei Harbor District and Kuiqi Operation Zone which can be connected with Fuma Railway (from East Railway Station of Fuzhou to Qingzhou of Mawei District).

By Taxi

There are almost four-thousand taxies in Fuzhou which are mainly of the model types Santana and Fukang. The cost is generally the same among the large and middle sized cities. 

The flag-down rate of a Santana is CNY8 for the first 3 kilometers (about 1.9 miles), then CNY1.8 for each additional kilometer. 

A Fukang is CNY7 for the first 3 kilometers, and then CNY1.4 per kilometer. After 23:00, the flag-down rate will be increased by CNY0.8.



By City-Bus

It is very convenient for tourists to go around the downtown area by bus. The ticket price is CNY1; tourists should ensure they have small change prior to boarding, the price increases to CNY2 from May 15th to Oct 15th if the bus is operating its air conditioning.

By Subway


The Fuzhou subway will consist of seven lines in a ‘circular combining radial’ overall structure.  Lines 1 and 2 will form the ‘+' shaped urban rail skeleton. Lines 4, 5, 6 and the urban section of line 3, will form the basic urban rail network. Lines 7 and 5 will travel across the Minjiang River, and line 4 will run across the Wujiang River.
