Chinese Government Scholarship--Beijing University of Technology

Beijing-Chinese Government Scholarships established by the Ministry of Education of China(hereinafter referred to as MOE) in accordance with educational exchange agreements or understandings reached between Chinese government and governments of other countries, organizations, education institutions and relevant international organizations to provide full scholarships to international students. Since 2010, Beijing Municipality has been entitled to award Beijing Chinese Government Scholarship on its own.

Beijing University of Technology (hereinafter referred to as BJUT) is established in 1960. It is a key university under the administration of the Beijing Municipal Government and ranked as one of the 100key universities for the 21stcentury. It has established a multi-disciplinary academic structure. Since 2010, BJUT started to enroll Beijing Chinese Government Scholarship students all over the world.

Funding Targets,Language of Instruction,Program Duration:

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health, both physically and psychologically.

2. Eligibility: To be eligible, applicants must

- be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs;

- be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs;

- have acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 4 when applying for Chinese taught master’s or doctoral programs;

-English-taught postgraduate program applicant from non-native English speaking countries should submit one of the following English language certificate within the period of validity: IELTS≥6.5/IBT≥85/TOEIC≥750).

3. Applicants cannot major in their mother tongue, English, French or other third languages or culture.



 

Application

Application documents: The applicants must fill in and provide the following documents truly, correctly and completely (in duplicates, hard and soft copies).

(1) Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship (filled in Chinese or English) 

(2) Application Form for International Students to BJUT

(3)Copy of Passport Home Page. If the validity of the applicant’s current passport does not meet the requirement (meaning the passport expires before September 2022), please apply for a new passport before submitting the application.

(4)Notarized highest diploma. Prospective diploma winners must submit official proof of student status by their current school. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.

(5)Academic transcripts (from the undergraduate program onwards). Copies of academic records from first to last semester during the undergraduate, graduate (if any), and doctoral programs (if any) shall be provided. These transcripts shall be issued and sealed by the attending university’s academic affairs office, graduate school, or student management department. They can be in Chinese or English, but must be attached with notarized English translations if they are in foreign languages other than English.

(6)Language qualification certificates


--Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must submit valid HSK level 4 reports (or above certificate)in accordance with the corresponding Chinese proficiency requirements;

--Applicants for other language-taught programs must submit one of the following English language certificate within the period of validity: IELTS≥6.5/IBT≥85/TOEIC≥750).

(7)BJUT Supervisor Acceptance Letter for Master/PhD Degree Program Applicants .

(8)A study or research plan(more than 1,000 characters or words).

(9)Two Recommendation letters from associate professors or above experts. Applicants for postgraduate studies must submit two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from associate professors or above experts in related research fields.

(11)A photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English (the original copy shall be kept by the applicant). The form is designed by the Chinese quarantine authority and can be obtained from the dispatching authority. The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take a physical examination as the result is valid for only 6 months.

(12)Non-criminal record report. The applicant shall submit a valid certificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public security authority, usually issued within 6 months prior to the submission date of the application.
