Courses are divided into three grades and eight levels of classes: 

· Basic: Class A

· Elementary: Class B

· Intermediate: Class C & Class D

· Advanced: Class E, Class F, Class G & Class H

Entry test is organized by International College of HRBNU and your requirements will also be considered when you choose a class. 

Basic Courses: General Course, Listening Comprehension, Oral Chinese;

Elementary Courses: General Course, Listening Comprehension, Oral Chinese;

Intermediate Courses: General Course, Newspapers& Periodicals, Reading, Listening & Speaking, Grammar;

Advanced Courses: General Course, Newspapers& Periodicals, Grammar, Writing, Foreign Trade Writing, News Listening, A Survey of China, Contemporary Chinese Literature, Ancient Chinese Language, Ancient Chinese Literature;

Optional Courses: Folk Custom Appreciation, Contemporary Topics, Tourism Geography, Oral Business Chinese, Advanced Oral Chinese, Special Topic on Advanced HSK, Thesis Writing, Chinese Cultural Experience.

Application Time:

Spring semester: Before Jan.15 each year;
Fall semester: Before Jul.15 each year;

Study Period:

Spring semester: From Mar.1st to Jul.15 ;
Fall semester: From Sept.1st to Jan.1st next year;

  1. A Senior High School Certificate or Above;
  2. Aged between 15 and 60

    Photocopy of notarized foreigner physical examination record (for durations of study over 6 months)
  2. Photocopy of valid passport
    With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included
  3. Passport photo
    A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant
  4. High school graduate certificate
    Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
