The major is designed to train professionals to know theoretical knowledge of Laws, with a certain level of computer networks and communication technology, and information industry management who are qualified for such positions as network supervision and management, intellectual property management and protection, and other jobs relevant to laws in the national organs, communication enterprises, public security and judicial organs, national security organs, prisons , public security departments, customs, judicial identification, financial institutions and other enterprises.

Students are required to learn not only the professional law but also some computer networks and communication technology. After graduation they are mainly engaged in technology-related legal work in such units as national information industry administration, corporate communications, public security and judicial organs, national security authorities, judicial identification, financial institutions and other enterprises.
