Basic Medical Science College

The College of Basic Medical Science of LNUTCM has 97 employees, including 4 specialists enjoying special allowance from the State Council, 1 nationally famous doctor, 1 provincially outstanding doctor, 5 provincially outstanding teachers, 1 excellent middle-age and young discipline leader at provincial level, 11 tutors of doctoral candidate, 17 master’s tutors, 49 people with doctor degree and doctor in reading.

The College of Basic Medical Science is composed of 4 secondary disciplines, 12 Teaching and Research departments, 1 central laboratory, 5 research laboratories and an office. With 1 key subject evaluated by the Ministry of Education, 2 key disciplines of the State Administration of TCM, 4 provincially key disciplines, The College of Basic Medical Science has 2 post-doctor exchange centre, 3 secondary doctor programs, 4 master programs, 1 class Ⅲ research lab of the State Administration of TCM, 5 laboratories built by central and local government together, one nationally excellent teaching team, 3 excellent teaching team of Liaoning province, one nationally classic courses, 8 provincially elaborate courses. College of Basic Medical Science totally undertakes two key issues of “973”, two issues supported by Eleventh Five-Year Plan and one important research work about a research subject of new drugs and also takes charge of a Natural Science Foundation project etc. including more than 30 of the national provincial and municipal scientific and technique project. National Standard of Peoples Republic of China·Terms of basic Theories of Chinese Medicine has been implemented by the National Institute of Standards Committees and has also been regulated as the world standards by the World Health Organization. It won the third prize of innovation of Chinese standard contribution in 2008. Now College of Basic Medical Science is undertaking the research work of the National Standard of Peoples Republic of China·Terms of Chinese Materia Medica, National Standard of Peoples Republic of China·Terms of TCM Internal Medicine, National Standard of Peoples Republic of China·the Name of Chinese Medicine.     College of Basic Medical Science undertaking the important work of teaching, scientific and research, subject construction and training of postgraduate etc. gain abundant accomplishments.

The recent two years College of Basic Medical Science has been totally finished more than 20 teaching research subjects at different levels, more than 200 teaching research papers and compiles 4 proceedings of teaching and research. The College won one items of prize of provincial teaching achievement and second and third prizes each of two items, one item of second prize of Liaoning provincial elaborate textbooks. 2 CAI coursewares won the third prize in the national multimedia courseware competition of The Ministry of Education.

In 2009, College of Basic Medical Science won the honor of Advanced Group of National Education System conferred by Educational Ministry and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People’ s Republic of China jointly. In the same year, it won the honors of “Civilization Post” awarded by Educational Office of Liaoning province and Women Association of Liaoning province and “Advanced Party Branch” by the party association of LNUTCM.
