The aims of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language are to promote intellectual and cultural awareness:
 
To develop the students' awareness of and sensitivity to the nature of Chinese language, the essence of Chinese literature, and the value of Chinese culture;
 
To cultivate the students' awareness of and sensitivity to the similarities and differences between the Chinese language and other languages, as well as the similarities and differences between the Chinese culture and other cultures;
 
Main Courses

Compulsory Courses: Introduction of Linguistics, Modern Chinese, Ancient Chinese, Characters, Introduction of The Second Language, Education Pedagogy, China Ancient Literature History, Writing, Reading English, Listening English, Oral English, English Newspaper and Magazine, English Extensive Reading, Writing English, and etc.
 
Optional Courses: Pronunciation, Contemporary Vocabulary, General Physiology, History of Western Civilization, English Translation, Business English, The Second Foreign Language, Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, and etc.
 
Students Employment

Encourage students to go further study to pursue master degree; as a teacher to teach foreigners Chinese; Engage in Foreign Affairs Exchange; As secretary in international corporation; Be as an editor, journalism in news and media agency, publish departments.
Applicant should be a senior high school graduate or with equivalent schooling in the age bracket of 18-50,with an HSK certificate (level 6 or above). (Classes will be taken together with Chinese students.) 

1.  Certificate of HSK
For applicants of Chinese Language major and Chinese Language and Culture major:Level 3 or above. For those applying to take classes with Chinese students: HSK Level 6 or above

2.  Photocopy of valid passport
With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included

3.  Passport photo
A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant

4.  Certificate/diploma of highest education
Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.

5.  Academic transcript of highest education
Original transcript of academic record.

6.  Valid identity document of the applicant's emergency contact person
A photocopy of the ID of the emergency contact (can be a license, official ID of Chinese citizen or foreigner).

7.  Letter of recommendation
Reference letter from applicants' former teacher.
