Important Points You Should Know Before Applying Online
●Be sure to fully prepare the photocopies or the scanned copies of your application materials.

1.PayEase: It is a convenient, safe and easy online payment platform, supporting Master Card and VISA cards.
2.PayPal: PayPal is a secure, simple, and convenient way of paying. For those who have not used PayPal before, you can create an account on their website
3.Bank Transfer (T/T) in China: Applicants who are currently in China can do a direct bank transfer to pay the application fee in CNY
4.Bank Transfer (T/T) Overseas: Applicants who are not in China can pay the application fee in US Dollars by a bank transfer
5.Western Union: For applicants who cannot use T/T or PayPal payments, SICAS recommends you to use Western Union (especially African applicants)
Reminder:Please keep in mind that it is not until the payment has been confirmed will the applied university start for processing. In other words, universities will only start to process the applications which have been paied )
Application Materials
Application form is prerequisite, and every university has its own version. SICAS will guide you step by step to fill the exact one when you click”Apply now” on the page of your favorite course.
Be sure to prepare fully the following documents before starting online application. You will be asked to upload attachments in the application progress.
Non-degree Program
1. Photocopy of valid passport
With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included
2. Passport photo
A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant
3. Certificate/diploma of highest education
Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
4. Valid identity document of the applicant's emergency contact person
For example, photocopy of ID card, photocopy of passport, etc.
Bachelor's Degree Programs
1. Certificate of HSK
For applicants of Chinese Language major and Chinese Language and Culture major:Level 3 or above. For those applying to take classes with Chinese students: HSK Level 6 or above
2. Photocopy of valid passport
With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included
3. Passport photo
A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant
4. Certificate/diploma of highest education
Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
5. Academic transcript of highest education
Original transcript of academic record.
6. Valid identity document of the applicant's emergency contact person
A photocopy of the ID of the emergency contact (can be a license, official ID of Chinese citizen or foreigner).
7. Letter of recommendation
Reference letter from applicants' former teacher
Master's Degree Programs
1. Photocopy of valid passport
With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included
2. Passport photo
A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant
3. Undergraduate school transcript
4. Bachelor's degree diploma
Graduation certificate in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.
5. English proficiency test certificate
For example, IELTS or TOEFL, only for applicant whose native language is not English. If not, teachers will test your English proficiency after admission.
6. Letter of recommendation
From professor or associate professor or equivalents
7. Study plan
Including study purpose, research interest and research plan in brief.
8. Valid identity document of the applicant's emergency contact person
For example, photocopy of ID card, photocopy of passport, etc
Doctoral Degree Programs
1. Certificate of HSK
HSK Level 9 (Advanced) or above.
2. Photocopy of valid passport
With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included
3. Passport photo
A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant
4. Academic record
The original transcript of academic record.
5. Academic diploma
Photocopy of M.A. degree. This year's graduates should provide a letter of proof from alma mater.
6. Letter of recommendation
Reference letters from two professors or experts of related fields.
7. Study plan
Resume, works, HSK certificate, study experience, study plan during the Ph.D program, goals after graduation. 1500 words in Chinese.
8. Valid identity document of the applicant's emergency contact person
Can be a passport, license, or other official ID of Chinese citizen or foreigner.
Entry requirement
Non-degree Program
The applicant should be a senior high school graduate in the age bracket of 18-50.
Bachelor's Degree Programs
Applicant should be a senior high school graduate or with equivalent schooling in the age bracket of 18-50,with an HSK certificate (level 6 or above). (Classes will be taken together with Chinese students.)
Master's Degree Programs
Applicant should be under 40 years old and have acquired a Bachelor's degree or evidence of its equivalent. Provide English proficiency certificate if applicable, if not, teachers will test your English proficiency after admission.
Doctoral Degree Programs
Under 45 years old
Have a Master's degree or equivalent
Two recommendation letters from his/her advisors (full or associate professors)
An HSK Level 9 certificate (C level or above for advanced learner)
