1. Vehicle Safety, Energy Conservation and Environment Protection
School of Automotive Engineering: There are more than 2,400 full-time students in the school. The teaching faculty is made up of 65 high-quality professionals, among whom 9 hold the title of full professor, and 22 associate professors, besides, 15 of the teaching staff hold doctor’s degree, and 20 hold master’s degree. Now there are Traffic Transportation, Vehicle Engineering, Automotive Service Engineering, and Thermal & Power Engineering Departments in the school, as well as an automotive experimental center and an automotive technology research center.
2. Marine Transportation and Logistics
School of Transportation and Logistics Engineering: The school has 55 teachers including 7 professors, 10 associate professors, 2 senior engineers, 1 researcher, 1 associate-researcher, 13 doctors and 4 supervisors of postgraduate. There are 4 laboratories (Transportation Engineering, Intelligent Transportation & Information Control, Logistics Engineering, and Transportation Safety) with stocked supplies which is worthy of 20 million RMB.
3. Port, Road and Bridge, and Tunnel Engineering
School of Civil Engineering: There’re over 3000 full-time students, 115 teachers which includes 11 professors, 32 and one academician from Chinese Academy of Engineering. Department of international program of civil engineering is equipped with those directions including roadway (road and expressway), railway (high-speed rail, urban light rail and subway) and bridge construction.
The department is dedicated to cultivating students who are familiar with the engineering planning and design, construction organization, equipment and testing, program construction, maintenance and repair of transportation basic facilities. Civil Testing Center is one of the key centers in the university, under which there are 10 laboratories, such as Construction Material Laboratory, Civil Laboratory, Highway Pavement Laboratory, Bridge Laboratory and Testing Laboratory. The center covers about 9,000 square meters, the equipments worth about 30 million RMB.
