Overview

The Tsinghua International MBA Program is a collaborative program between Tsinghua School of Economics and Management (SEM) and MIT Sloan School of Business. The program was launched in September 1997. To date, over 1,300 alumni (over 7,200 MBA graduates of Tsinghua SEM) have graduated from the program and are playing an important role in the management of companies in China and around the world. This program is a full-time, two-year, English-taught program. Students will obtain an MBA degree from Tsinghua University as well as a certificate from MIT Sloan upon graduation.

MBA Learning Goals

• To become organizational and social leaders empowered with abilities of strategic vision, critical thinking and decision making;
• To acquire knowledge of contemporary management theory, and essential managerial skills;
• To grasp the principles and operating mechanisms of contemporary economic systems;
• To demonstrate social responsibility and moral integrity.

Credit Requirements & Curriculum Design

(1) Credit Requirements

The education includes three parts: course study, required activities, and graduation case report. To obtain the degree of Master of Business Administration at Tsinghua University, every student is required to obtain not less than 54 credits, including:
39 credits of required courses, including 31 credits of degree courses;

(2) credits of required activities;

Not less than 13 credits of elective courses, including not less than 7 credits of English-instructed non-language elective courses (elective courses taken at other departments/schools cannot exceed 6 credits).

1. Required Activities

 

1) Academic Activities

All International MBA candidates are required to attend at least 10 academic lectures and / or seminars before graduation. The length of not less than 500 Chinese Characters/250 English words is required for each lecture/seminar summary. Students need to fill out the record form, get it signed by their supervisors and submit the completed form to MBA Academic Services Office 3 months before oral defense application.

1.Undergraduate degree from a recognized university, equivalent to Bachelor degree
2.A competitive GMAT score
1 Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2 Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.  Bachelor's degree diploma
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

4.  Transcript of undergraduate school

5.  Two recommendation letters
From professor,associate professor or equivalents.

6.  Certificate of English proficiency test
IELTS or TOEFl will only be required if the applicant is not a native English speaker.

7.  Personal Statement

9.GMAT/GRE score
