Program Description

This major helps build a solid foundation for natural and industrial sciences, helps create extensive knowledge in liberal arts, helps develop a firm grasp in management, while gaining practical experience in engineering and enhancing research abilities. Job opportunities include being a property project valuer, consultant, project manager, constructor, engineer, planning manager, etc. In order for students to broaden their knowledge and conform to the needs of society, the Department of Construction Management and the Department of Civil Engineering have united to enroll students together. Students will spend their freshman year with Civil Engineering students studying fundamental courses and will return to Project Management in their sophomore year.
Main courses include Mathematics, Physics, Fundamentals of Engineering Graphics, Fundamentals of Computer, Engineering Mechanics, Structural Mechanics, Building Materials, Construction Economics, Engineering Economics, Technology Building Operation, Planning of Building Operation, Building Service Equipments , Construction Project Management, Construction Enterprise Management, Construction Projects Appraisal, Real Estate Investment & Finance, Real Estate Appraisal, Estate Management, Risk Management and Safety Management, Introduction to Construction Management, etc.
Application Schedule
On-line application: March 1 – March16, 2012.

Hardcopies of application materials due: March 19 - March 30, 2012.

Entrance Examination
(1) Subjects of Written Examination for Science, Engineering and Management Programs: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English.

(2) Subjects of Written Examination for Law, Humanities and Social Sciences Programs: Basic Chinese Language, Chinese Writing, General Knowledge, and English.

(3) Subjects of Written Examination for Arts and Design Programs: Chinese Writing, General Knowledge, Sketch, Quick Sketch, and Color Painting.

Extra exams are requested for some programs: Sketch for Architecture Program, Oral Test for English and Japanese Programs, and Mathematics for Experimental Class of Social Sciences and Psychology.

Interview may also be requested by some department/schools.
Date of Entrance Examination
Written Examination: May 12 - 13, 2012

The applicants to be interviewed will be notified after written exams.

Entry Requirements

1. Foreign citizens under 25 and in good health
2. Graduation from senior high school;
3. HSK Band 6 / new HSK Band 5 or aboveHydraulic and Hydropower Engineering.

Application Materials

1.  Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2.  Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.  Graduation certificate of high school
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

4.  Academic transcript of high school

5.  HSK Certificate (No need for English-taught program)
Level 3 or above

6.  Two recommendation letters
From professor,associate professor or equivalents.

7. A notarization of guarantor in China
Only for applicants under 18 years old.
