Program Objective

The master program in Special History in the field of History of Chinese Culture is designed for international students or overseas Chinese who are interested in Chinese culture. The program aims:

■     To cultivate their specialization in the history of Chinese culture

■     To meet the needs of international community

■     To develop the bilateral ties and cultural exchange between China and their home countries.

 

Main Courses

History of Modern China, Confucianism, Chinese Culture, History of Ancient China,

Chinese Ritual Culture, Chinese Buddhism, Taoism, Chinese Folk Culture, Chinese Calligraphy and Painting

Social Practice:  International students should take part in social practice during the school time. Social practice includes out-side investigate, research of Confucianism culture and Zhejiang culture legacy and so on.

 

Duration: 2.5 to 4 years,normally 2.5 years

 

Credits and Certification

Thirty-six credits are required, including six credits for dissertation. Qualified students will be granted certificates of graduation and Master Degree of History in Special History in the field of History of Chinese Culture.

 

Instruction Language

■     All the courses are delivered in English except some of Chinese language courses.

■     Dissertation is required to be written in English

7.English proficiency test certificate 

For example, IELTS or TOEFL, only for applicant whose native language is not English.


8.Two letters of recommendation 
From professor or associate professor or equivalents
