Scholarships fall into four categories: A, B, C, and D. a. Class A Scholarship: 30,000 RMB/person/year. The Class A Scholarship sponsors excellent international students pursuing a master’s degree or above. b. Class B Scholarship: 20,000 RMB/person/year. The Class B Scholarship sponsors excellent international students pursuing a bachelor’s degree. c. Class C Scholarship: 10,000 RMB/person/year. The Class C Scholarship sponsors excellent international students pursuing a two-year or three-year college degree. d. Class D Scholarship: 6,000 RMB/person/year. (3,000 RMB/person/semester) The Class D Scholarship sponsors excellent long-term general scholars. |

Application Requirements: |
Please prepare the following documents before you apply any programs at Ningbo University online. 1. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens and be in good health. 2. Applicants should comply with the laws and regulations in China, and comply with the rules and disciplines in the host HEIs. 3. Applicant should have a good knowledge of Chinese and provide proofs such as HSK certificates or other Chinese learning or Chinese examination certificates. For those applying for courses taught in English, the standard might be lowered. 4. Applicant who is already studying in Ningbo should have a good academic record. 5. Applicant should NOT be awarded with other Chinese Government Scholarships of all levels. 6. Education background and age limit: a. Applicant for bachelor’s degree program or for two/three-year college degree should have obtained senior high school diploma or equivalent education, and be under the age of 30. b. Applicant for master’s degree program should have obtained the bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, get recommendation letters from 2 professors/assistant professors and be under the age of 35. c. Applicant for doctoral degree program should have obtained the master’s degree or equivalent education, get recommendation letters from 2 professors/associate professors and be under the age of 40. d. Duration of scholarship for long-term general scholars should be at least one semester. 7. International students who apply to study or are studying at HEIs in Ningbo pursuing a bachelor degree, a master degree, a doctoral degree or a two/three-year college degree, or as a long-term general scholar (one semester or above). |

1. The scholarship quotas are distributed by the relevant department of Ningbo University 2. Your scholarship application documents will be reviewed by SICAS helpful and efficient staff members, and then those outstanding applicants will be recommended to Ningbo University 3. Whether or not you're able to achieve the scholarship will be determined by the relevant department of Ningbo University on the basis of your academic merits as well as your recommendation letters. 4. You are not eligible for the application of any other scholarships in case you've already been a recipient of a particular scholarship. 5. SICAS reserves the final right of enforcing and explaining the detailed rules of implementation. |

Application Materials: |
1. Notarized certificate of applicant’s diploma or degree. Applicants need to submit proof of employment or study issued by the applicants’ current employer or school if the applicants are currently working or studying. 2. Academic transcript, in notarized Chinese or English translation. 3. Applicants’ study or research plan, either in Chinese or in English. 4. Two letters of recommendation written by persons of at least associate professors from the applicant’s alumni university in English or in Chinese for students applying for master or doctoral degree. 5. Photocopy of the applicant’s passport. 6. Physical examination record. |
