Why Study in CAUC


CAUC is dedicated to offering scientific and technological support to the construction of “an Aviation Power”. In recent years, CAUC has striven to make technological breakthrough, enhance its own development capability, push forward key scientific research projects, and fasten the development of scientific and technological industry. Since the 11th Five-Year Plan, CAUC has accomplished 77 state-level scientific research projects, 242 provincial/ministry level projects, winning 65 provincial/ministerial awards, with research fund worth ¥300 million.

With all the disciplines within the civil aviation industry covered, CAUC spares no efforts in strengthening the development of scientific research team and scientific research platform. Being home to 12 research bases (key labs) at the provincial/ministry level, CAUC has made tremendous achievements on scientific research by focusing on the latest progress concerning civil aviation transportation science & technology as well as significant scientific issues concerning aviation transportation safety assurance, and continuously provided high-level scientific support to the industrial sectors as well as the whole society. In the field of Airworthiness and Heavy Maintenance, Air Traffic Management, Industry Planning and Management, Energy Saving and Emission Reduction, Aviation Special Ground Equipment, Civil Aviation Safety Management, Information Technology, Airport Engineering, CAUC has undertaken 91 national research projects (since 2005), including projects from National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars, National Program on Key Basic Research Project /973 Program, National Hi-Tech R & D Program /863 Program (Key Program, General Program), National Key Technology Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, National Natural Science Foundation (Key Program, General Program) to National Soft Science Research Programs. Among these projects, CAUC has won 2 Second-Class Prizes of National Sci-Tech Advancement, and 60 Provincial Awards of Scientific Research Advancement.
