About XTU
The University enjoys a reputation for pioneering research and innovation, which vitalise the undergraduate courses and postgraduate programmes, and introduce the students and staff to the latest thinking in their chosen fields. Some of national most significant achievements took place at the the University such as 60 research institutes of national, provincial and ministerial level and over 100 high level awards like National Science and Technology Progress Award, Natural Science in Colleges and Universities Award of Ministry of Education, China Outstanding Research Achievement of Humanities and Social Award and Feng Kang Prize for Scientific Computing. As the first overseas students enrollment unit in Hunan Province, the University has been intensifying its international exchange and cooperation and establishing an extensive inter-collegiate exchange and cooperation with over 50 universities in more than 20 countries, including the Confucius Institute with the University of Leon in Spain.
