Four Tsinghua International Students Awarded China Development Bank Distinguished International Student Scholarship


The China Development Bank Distinguished International Student Scholarship Awarding Ceremony was held in the University of International Business and Economics on December 20, 2011. Four international students from the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University were awarded in the ceremony. They are: Do Thi Phuong Thuy, an undergraduate student from Vietnam; Batsukh Anand, a post-graduate student from Mongolia; Drojas Jaramillo Valeria, a post-graduate student from Colombia, and Tjokro Wimantara, a post-graduate student from Indonesia.  


Founded in March 2011, the China Development Bank Distinguished International Student Scholarship aims to encourage and subsidize international students from developing countries majoring in economics management and finance, and to promote cross-cultural exchanges and friendly communication between China and other counties. After selections and recommendations from schools and universities, and comprehensive review from China Scholarship Council and China Development Bank, a total of 20 international students from Tsinghua University, Peking University, University of International Business and Economics, and Shandong University were awarded this year.
