About Beijing Foreign Studies University

Founded in 1936, BUCEA is an engineering university of higher learning under the direct supervision of the
Beijing Municipal Education Commission. Through six decades of development and growth, it has cultivated
40-thousand construction talents at all levels. BUCEA is the important cultivating base of senior technical
and administrative talents for Beijing civil engineering and architecture. In November 1999, it passed the
regular college course evaluation of engineering instruction of higher learning held by the Ministry of Education.


                                         

BUCEA has 10 schools, containing 22 undergraduate specialties, of which 17 specialties are authorized to confer
degree of master. BUCEA boasts of a teaching staff of 871, among whom there are 426 full-time teachers, 35
professors, 212 associate professors.

      


The university actively carries out International academic exchange and cooperation. It invites noted scholars from
the United States, England, Germany and many other countries to give lectures to the student. And many famous
experts are invited as guest-professors to BUCEA, and most of BUCEA teachers have studied or taught abroad.
BICEA has established and maintained friendly ties with other institutions of higher learning and research more
than 20 countries and districts.

       

Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture is a higher learning school authorized by Beijing Municipal
Educational Committee to qualify for International student enrollment, admitting International students to learn
Chinese or pursue their Bachelor or Master degree.

BUCEA boasts well-experienced full-time Chinese teachers to teach International students in small-class scales.
Various language and culture lectures are given and HSK tutorials are provided to quickly improve students’
Chinese proficiency.
