About School
    The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering consists of 7 departments and 4 centers, including departments of chemical engineering, macromolecular material and engineering, pharmaceutical engineering, applied chemistry, material chemistry, bioengineering, environmental engineering, and educational centers of physical chemistry, synthetic chemistry, fundamental chemistry experiment and engineering experiment. 



Specialized Courses   

    Applied chemistry is one of the key majors of Shandong province. Macromolecular chemistry and physics and the experimental engineering are key majors of University of Jinan. Jinan Research Center of Fluorin Material and Engineering and the Science and Standard Committee of Chemical Constructional Materials Association are set up in the school.


Faculty & Staff 


    The school now has 150 teaching staffs, including 24 professors, 34 associate professors, 16 senior experimenters and engineers, and 70 doctors. The full-time undergraduate and the postgraduate students are more than 3000 and 100, respectively. 


Research Centers      


    The school is equipped with a wide variety of sophisticated instruments, such as Infrared Spectrometer, Ultraviolet-visible Spectrometer, Fluorescence Spectrometer, Elementar, High Pressure/Performance Liquid Chromatography, Gel Permeation Chromatograph, Gas Chromatograph, Porosimeter, Universal Materials Testing Machine, Thermal Analyzer, High-resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy, Emission Spectrometer and other equipments for macromolecules or dope synthesizing and machining.

    In recent years, the school has successively undertaken more than 40 projects of scientific research founded by national or provincial programs. Several professional books and more than 600 papers are published.
