Course Arrangement

The courses will be given from Monday to Friday, about 20 class hours per week.

Class Division

BUAA Chinese Language Training Center offers various classes for students with different levels, including elementary, intermediate, and advanced ones. An entrance examination will be arranged after enrollment and students will be divided into different classes according to their Chinese levels. There will be about 15 students in each class in general.

Curriculum

The main courses are Intensive Reading, Chinese speaking, Listening, Newspaper Reading, Writing, Audio-visual and Speaking, Calligraphy, Introduction to China as well as a class for HSK instruction.

Language Practice 

BUAA offers linguistic practice trip outside of Beijing. BUAA also organizes weekend trips to scenic spots and places of historical interest around Beijing. There are other gatherings and activities such as symposium with Chinese students, watching Peking opera and acrobatics.

Certificate

At the end of the study, certificate will be awarded by CLTC to those whose performances are satisfactory.

Tuition fee

15,200CNY/academic year (covers lectures and textbooks. )

Application and Deadline

The application deadline for the spring semester is 10th January. Class will begin in March. 

Enrollment and Visas

Chinese Language Training Center of BUAA will accept application from both individuals and groups. The applicants must submit the "Application Form" to BUAA before the deadline. After receiving the Admission Notice and JW202 form, the applicants can apply for an "X" or "F" visa from the embassy and consulate of the PRC in the their own countries (Applicants who have an "X" visa need to bring the "Health Examination Result", for the convenience of the residence procedure in China).

Applicants who are between 18-60 years old and are interested in learning Chinese will be eligible, if they are in good health and are willing to observe the laws and decrees of the People's Republic of China as well as the regulations of BUAA.
