Pre-undergraduate Courses

Period of Study

Study period is a year. Each week is no less than 15 study hours, each term no less than 18 weeks.

Curriculum Provision

Chinese and legal courses such as: Chinese listening, Chinese speaking, Chinese elementary reading, Chinese writing, Chinese grammar, knowledge about Chinese characters, Chinese culture, Chinese humanistic geography, modern and contemporary history of China, Chinese customs, civil law, criminal law, criminal procedure law, civil procedure law etc.

Legal courses could be determined according to the majors applied for by the students and offered in accordance with the Educational Plans of the School. The credits achieved can be included in the total credits of the plans.

Fees

Tuition fee is 20,000 RMB per student per year; The students without receiving the Pre-undergraduate Courses need to pay the application service fee 10,000 RMB (including the related costs used for: major courses, guidance to studying abroad in China, selection of majors, proof materials for personal Chinese language level, and completion of relevant procedures etc.).

During the preparatory study or after the payment of the application service fee, the university will accomplish the formal application procedures of direct admission for international applicants between April 1st and June 30th each year.

Traveling Study

Organize students to visit the scenic spots and historical sites in Beijing and other parts of China in their free time, and let them enjoy the great scenery and experience the extensive and profound Chinese culture.

Scholarship

All the students learning Chinese, the senior scholars and the visiting scholars in the School of International Education, who apply for the degree education of undergraduate, master and doctor and are accepted by CUPL, can obtain the scholarship.

Accommodations

Students will live in the International Students’ apartments arranged by the university. All the admitted students will get the scholarship, which will be used to reduce the accommodation expenses. The accommodation fee is only 900 RMB per student per year.
