Program Feature
The university offers one-year Chinese language study for free to those who apply for degree program in SMU. Students should pay the first year tuition, and for the last year study will be free of charge.
Enrollment:
Shanghai Maritime University reserves the right to admit foreign students by written test or interview.
The enrollment result will be issued at the beginning of July. The offer package will be delivered after that.

5. Two recommendation letters
From professor,associate professor or equivalents.
6. English proficiency test certificate
TOEFL ibt 90 or above, IELTS 6.0 or above
7. Health certificate
Required during application.Photocopy of notarized foreigner physical examination record (for durations of study over 6 months)
8. Statement of purpose
Around 1500 words for PhD candidates, including the study and work experience, academic research result, planned research proposal, and individual development objective after graduation.
