Scholarships and Financial Considerations

SBC provides several options for students who are in need of financial assistance.

1.      Scholarships
·         Outstanding students who have scored well in high-school exams and ranked among the top students in class, may be eligible to receive scholarships.

2.      Internship Opportunities
·         International Students may be eligible to work for up to 20 hours per week in either the university. Most part-time internships are paid and students who work for the university will have their tuition fees discounted.

3.      Exemption of the Foundation Year
·         In the UK, the British Degree programme only takes 3 years to complete. If non-native English language speaking students perform well in the SBC Entrance Exam, they may be exempted from taking the foundation year and enter directly into SBC Year 2 (UK Year 1 of the 3 year degree programme). This would allow for significant savings on tuition fees (RMB66,000) and living costs (RMB40,000).

4.      Studying the whole course in Shanghai
·         Most students at SBC will choose to study either 1 or 2 years in the UK. If students choose to study the 3 or 4 years entirely in Shanghai, they would save up to RMB 180,000 compared to the students who study the final 2 years in UK.
