School of teacher's Education
Established after the funding of Jiangsu University, the School is the first named School of Teacher’s Education in China. The faculty consists of twenty-four staff members, of whom five are professors and eleven are associate professors. There are two specialties: Education and Education Technology. There are an Institute of Science, a Modern Educational Technology Experiment Center and a Teacher Training Department. The school undertakes the pre-career training and on-the-job training of teachers. At present, there are more than two hundred undergraduate students at the school. Over the past three years, more than 4000 teachers and headmasters have been trained here. During the 11th Five-Year-Plan period (2006-2010), the School, supported by the disciplinary advantage of the University, will strengthen its specialties, improve its undergraduate education and create conditions for the development of postgraduate education.
