School of Food and Biological Engineering

The school consists of Department of Food Science & Engineering, Department of Biotechnology, Institute of Bioengineering, Laboratory Center of Food & Bioengineering, and Jiangsu Research Center of Bio-processing and Separation of Agricultural Products. The bachelor’s degree program in Agricultural Product Processing & Engineering was established in 1983. The Master’s degree program in Agricultural Product Processing & Engineering was authorized in 1986, followed by the PhD program in 1993. After more than 20 years’ hard work, a series of distinguished multidiscipline researches have been fully developed, including Non-destructive Analysis of Agricultural Products, Agricultural Product Biological Processing and Separation Technology, Bio-energy Transformation Technology, Integrated Utilization of Agricultural Products, and etc. International collaboration is our fundamental strategy to enhance our research and education. International collaboration and communication have been established with many international universities and institutes.
