Delegation from Northern Arizona University, U.S.A Visited NNU


Northern Arizona University delegation Visited NNU, including Vice President Ms. Liz Grobsmith, Deputy Director of International Affairs Mr. Harvey Charles, Dean of College of Social Behavior Mr. Michael Stevenson, Dean of College of Forestry and Natural Science Mr. Paul Jagodzinski, and Director for China Program of International Education Center Mr. Daniel Palm.

Prof. Chen Guoxiang, NNU Vice President met with the delegation and expressed welcome on behalf of NNU. He pointed out that the “Sino-America 1+2+1 joint program” had made great influence since 2004 as international cooperation had always been an essential part in the development of the university. Northern Arizona University was among the first to sign “1+2+1” programs with NNU, and the partnership was greatly valued. Furthermore, he expressed wishes that more cooperation could be done in the future, especially in fields of electronic engineering, tourism management, and practical sociology where NAU possesses much advantage.

  Ms. Grobsmith expressed her gratitude to the warm reception and introduced the delegation to Mr. Chen. She commented that all the 5 students enrolled in the program had graduated and NAU would welcome more students from NNU to be studying there. Also, many faculty members are interested in establishing links with Chinese universities and NAU would warmly welcome the visit of Mr. Chen in the future.
