Nobel Prize Winner Awarded Honorary Professorship of Nanjing University

Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio, winner of the 2008 Nobel Prize in Literature, has recently received an honorary professorship from Nanjing University (NJU). NJU Chancellor Prof. Hong Yinxing attended the conferring ceremony held on the afternoon of August 21. 
 
Le Clézio after the ceremony delivered a speech entitled "Books and Our World" to hundreds of students and well-known writers and translators in Jiangsu Province, and experts and academicians of Nanjing University.
 
Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio, usually identified as J. M. G. Le Clézio, is a French author and professor. He was awarded the 1963 Prix Renaudot for his novel Le Procès-Verbal and the 2008 Nobel Prize in Literature as an "author of new departures, poetic adventure and sensual ecstasy, explorer of a humanity beyond and below the reigning civilization
