School of Information and Electronic Engineering

The School of Information and Electronic Engineering, one of the biggest schools in the university, has over 2000 full time students and a teaching and administrative group of more than 100 people. Among the faculty members, there are 21 professors, associate professors and senior engineers, 8 doctors and over 40 masters, most of whom have overseas education experience. The faculty has solid theoretic knowledge and rich experience in practice, and is competent in fostering high-level application-orientated talents in the new era of globalization.

The School offers seven undergraduate programmes: Computer Science and Technology, Electronic Engineering, Electronic Information Science and Technology, Communication Engineering, Instructional Technology, Digital Media Technology, and Information Technology. There is a joint project in Information Technology with the University of Southern Queensland in Australia, besides that, Computer Science and Technology is a pivot major in Zhejiang Province. With all the distinguished prominence, this school has trained more than 2000 qualified technical brains.

(1) Scientific Research Activities
The school boasts a team of teachers with rich teaching experience and solid knowledge. Social activities involve all kinds of project in fields like computer, communication, electronics and education, which goes together with disciplinary building, new teachers’ training and undergraduates’ practice and internship, resulting in the enrichment of the experience for both teachers and students. Moreover, these involvements can also lead to the emergence of unique techniques and new products, which helps with scientific research teamwork and base building as well.
