It demands the students to systematically master the fundamental knowledge of Rehabilitation Medicine, Rehabilitation Treatment and Chinese Medicine and can comprehensively and coordinately use various rehabilitation measures, such as physical treatment, homework treatment, language treatment, psychology treatment, acupuncture and massage in clinical work.

1. Educational Objectives
To cultivate senior rehabilitation therapists in possession of basic medicine knowledge, and modern rehabilitation treatment knowledge and skill.

2. Basic requirements
Command basic theory, basic knowledge and routine basic skill of Chinese Medicine and Western medicine; command a foreign language on a quite broad base of natural and social knowledge.

3. Professional Educational Objectives
By specialized education and training, this course provides a chance to student to command modern rehabilitation treatment knowledge and skills, and be capable of working in kinds of rehabilitation organizations (rehabilitation therapist).

4.Professional Educational Requirements
The student is supposed to learn relevant human culture and social society knowledge, basic theory of basic and clinical medicine; to get basic training of rehabilitation medicine skill. The graduate should command knowledge and ability below:
command required basic knowledge of basic medicine and clinical medicine;
command basic knowledge of rehabilitation medicine;
command common functional assessment technology of rehabilitation treatment;
command Chinese Medicine rehabilitation treatment (tuina, manipulation treatment ,acupuncture ,Chinese Medicine health promotion technology), and apply them in practice;
command exercising therapy, can practise rehabilitation treatment with medical gymnastic, medical exercise, functional exercising training, traction and so on;
command physical factor therapy, can practise rehabilitation treatment with electro-therapy, heat therapy, cold therapy, light therapy, water therapy, magnetic therapy and so on;
command work-out therapy, command ADL rehabilitation therapy , art therapy, entertainment therapy, music therapy, rational life style instruction; hand splint therapy and so on, and apply them in rehabilitation treatment;
command certain psychological treatment and speech treatment, and practise simple speech treatment and psychological treatment;
command certain social rehabilitation knowledge and methods and rehabilitation propaganda ability, can hold community rehabilitation activity:
Command certain management ability of organizing rehabilitation treatment. Cooperate with rehabilitation therapist and rehabilitation nurses to perform rehabilitation treatment.

5.Length of Schooling and Degree
The length of schooling for undergraduate study is 4 years. Bachelor of Science degree is awarded.
