The goal of the Master of Chinese Economy (MACE) program is to provide overseas students with two years of analytical training focused on economic development in China, to provide students with a platform to develop the critical thinking skills and knowledge necessary to become exports at analyzing China’s economy and policies. After graduation, graduate will be able to work in China in various areas such as multinational corporations, financial institutions, government agencies, or academic organizations.

All courses offered in this program are taught in English by qualified faculty approved by the graduate college at RUC. Faculty members have a diverse background and most of them have been trained at some of the most prestigious academic institutions in the world and have impressive lists of publications and academic achievements.
Each student in the program conducts research in his/her area of particular interest under the guidance of a RUC faculty member.

MACE Program
A total of 30 graduate credit hours are required to complete the program, including a thesis. The program is comprised of 20 hours of required courses, 8 hours of elective courses, and 2 hours of field trip studies. The requirements are as follows:

Master’s Thesis
Students are required to complete a thesis as one of the exit requirements. Each thesis will be supervised and approved by a committee of three members of the graduate faculty. The student’s responsibility for fulfilling this degree requirement does not end until the thesis has been formally accepted by the Graduate School.
1.  Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport and under 40 years old
2.  Hold a Bachelor degree or above
3.  With recommendations of two associate professors or higher, providing a certificate of competence in English

With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2.  Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.  Bachelor's degree diploma
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

4.  Transcript of undergraduate school

5.  Two recommendation letters(optional)
From professor,associate professor or equivalents.

6.  Certificate of English proficiency test
IELTS or TOEFl will only be required if the applicant is not a native English speaker.

7.  Personal Statement
