Bachelor Program of Business English in the Field of Business English & Cross-cultural Communication

Program Objective

School of Foreign Languages (SFL) of Zhejiang Gongshang University offers undergraduate program of Business English in the field of Business English and Cross-cultural Communication, one of the fastest-growing and most-rewarding professions in today's global economy. 

This four-year BA program is designed for international students who are interested in business communication between China and other countries.

This program emphasizes more in practice than in theories of business communication. The program focuses on cross-cultural business communication, especially marketing in China, creating tremendous opportunities for students to develop their future careers. It aims to equip students with basic knowledge of cross-cultural business communication, marketing in China, international trade laws and policies, business management, intercultural negotiation, business protocol, Chinese culture, etc. 

Through four-year study in this program, students are expected to acquire the following:

■ Abilities of cross-cultural and business communication
■ Abilities in marketing in China 
■ A better understanding of China's economy, history, education, culture and policy of foreign trade
■ A good master of the basic methods in business, communication, international trade and cooperation under cross-cultural circumstance.
■ A solid foundation of English language skills, especially in business communication

Business English, Marketing in China, Project and Management in China, Chinese Culture, Chinese Education Market, English for International Finance, English for International Marketing, English for Logistics, Cross-cultural Communication, C-E/ E-C Interpretation for Business, Comprehensive Business English, China's Policy of Foreign Trade, Business Presentations and Public Speaking in English, Business Letters Writing, Negotiations in English, Report Writing, Practice for International Trade, Business Protocol in China, etc.

Length, Credits and Degree

The length of curriculum is normally four years with a minimum of three years and a maximum of six years. Minimum credits for graduation: 130 credits. Qualified student will be granted Bachelor Degree of Arts in Business English in the field of Business English and Cross-cultural Communication by Zhejiang Gongshang University.

Instruction Language

■ Dissertation is required to be written in English
