Introduction: The program is undertaken by School of Navigation of WUT. The School of Navigation has engaged in education and training of navigation for nearly 60 years, and has cultivated and trained a large number of talents in marine pilots and maritime management for shipping industry. Most lecturers have Certificate of Competency (COC) for captains of ocean-going vessels, chief mates and other posts. The school has majors of Navigation Technology and Maritime Management, also with the institutes like Navigation Simulation and Experimental Center, Maritime Traffic Safety Management and Environmental Research Center, and Sailors Training Center. Students not only need to finish courses in the university, but also need to take part in a 5-weeks internship of understanding the navigation of sea-going ships and half a year’s graduation practice on sea.

Research Orientation: Advanced managerial personnel of Navigation Technology who have acquired basic training of engineers, meet the requirements from international covenant of STCW78/95 which was established by International Maritime Organization (IMO) and be with contemporary voyage driving theory and practical skills.

Note: Bachelors' Degree for Class Formed Only by International Students are required to have as least 12 students in one program

Non-Chinese, who haven’t broken laws, are required to have high school diploma.
