Why choose to study this program?
This program is taught in English, and all lecturers and professors in this program are specially trained for international students. We started this program in 2002, and now we have more than 150 students from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, English, and the United States etc. The curriculum of this program is based on the British Commonwealth educational system.

Part 1. Chinese Course (it would be medical chinese, lasting for 2 to 3 years)
Part 2. Basic Courses of Clinical Medicine
Cell Biology, Human Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Neuroanatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Medical Microbiology, Medical Immunology, Human Parasitology, Pathology, Pathophysiology, Medical Genetics, Behavioral Sciences, Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Medical Ethics, Sectional and Imaging Anatomy
Part 3. Clinical medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine, Diagnostics, Preventive Medicine, Science of Operation, Medical Imageology, Nuclear Medicine, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Neurology, Psychiatry, Tropical Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Dentistry, Dermatology and Venereology
Note: Every semester's curriculums will be adjusted according to the university arrangement at that time.
Internship & Career Developement
Students can choose to do the internship/training in China, their home country or any other country.SDU highly recommends international students to do the internship in China, the university would help students choose one from the affilicated hospitals. However, if students want to do the internship in other country, SDU need to do an qualification evaluation on the hospital which student choose. And, students have to take the final examination on Theory Test and Clinical Evaluation in SDU. Graduates can become the qualified physician and surgeon through 6 year training in medical school and hospital.

Entry Requirements

No Chinese-citizen with foreign passport with good health.
Applicants should own bachelor degree in concerned subjects or above.

Application Materials

1.  Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2.  Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.  Bachelor's degree diploma
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

4.  Transcript of undergraduate school

5.  HSK Certificate (No need for English-taught program)
Level 3 or above

6.  Health certificate(optional)
Photocopy of physical examination record.

7.  Two recommendation letters
From professor,associate professor or equivalents.

8. Application Essay
800 words or so in Chinese, regarding major of application and desired direction of study
