College of Communications Engineering

College of Communications Engineering, Chongqing University was reestablished in 1998 based on the original Radio Department and Telemetering & Telecontroling Research Institute. It enjoys great honor all over the country, for being able to cultivate high-level talents of electronics and communications technology, including programs for postdoctoral, doctor，master and bachelor, etc. Currently, the college consists of Electronics Engineering Department, Communications Engineering Department, Communications Institute, Signal Processing Institute and Telemetering & Telecontroling Institute. 

 

The college has been emphasizing on combining diathesis, study and research, cooperating extensively with local enterprises and professional units, such as Chongqing Television Set Factory, Electronics Institute, Institute of Engineering and Physical Research Academy. In addition, the college has undertaken many national projects and attained great achievements.

 

Now, the college has advanced in such fields as tracking，telecontroling and broadband access network and has won Science and Technology Improvement Award，the National Invention Award etc. for more than thirty times. In the last three years, over 8 million Yuan has been given for scientific research. State and World Bank has devoted almost 10 million Yuan on didactical Lab Construction for “211” Project Key Subject Base. Important research achievements have been up to the first level throughout the whole nation, some achievements have reached to internationally leading position. 

 

Over the past forty years, more than four thousand of students have graduated from our college. Many of them are outstanding scholars, eminent engineers respected by their fellow citizens. We have made great achievements in the area of cultivating high-level talents, innovating and industrializing technology. We have also paid attention to the communication with overseas, not only in research cooperation but also in student exchange. So far, we have received the students from Japan, Hong Kong, France,etc. We’re expecting more
