Changsha University of Science and Technology (CSUST) Holds Commencement for the Class of 2014


 

 

On the morning of June 25th, Commencement 2014 was held on the playground of Jinpenling Campus and in the convention hall of Changsha University of Science and Technology (CSUST) respectively. Mr. Fu Hongyuan, Party Secretary of CSUST, Mr. Lai Mingyong, President of CSUST and all the school leaders, staff representatives, student representatives and all 4851 graduates participated in the event.

The solemn national anthem marked the start of the ceremony.
President Lai Mingyong and Vice President Zhang Jianren delivered their addresses to the graduates on Jinpenling campus and Yuntang campus respectively and expressed their heartiest congratulations and most sincere wishes to the graduating Class of 2014 that were to embark on their new journey of life.

Mr. Lai Mingyong extended his appreciation to the graduates for their choosing CSUST in the very first beginning and also for the energy, the vigor, the honors and the glories they brought to CSUST. He pointed out that China was undergoing a great time of building a comprehensively well-off society and offered tremendous opportunities for the young talents. Then he shared with the graduates his understanding of the university motto and conveyed his sincere hope that graduates could always bear CSUST in mind and shoulder the responsibility of our time to strive for the future.

After that, student representatives and staff representatives delivered their congratulatory speeches and expressed their best wishes while graduate representatives gave their valedictory speeches, recalling their university life, expressing their appreciation for CSUST and teachers and classmates, and promising to undertake the best qualities CSUST bestowed to them in their various fields of work.Lastly, participating leaders of CSUST and renowned teachers of various schools issued degrees to degree candidates, switched the tassels and took photos.
