Introduction This programme involves the study of accounting, business, finance and management. You will learn about accounting and finance within an organisational context, which will help you to understand how financial decisions are made. You will also acquire knowledge and skills in the preparation and interpretation of accounts and, uniquely, develop an appreciation of the similarities and differences in practice between the UK and China.
What knowledge and skills will I acquire? By the time you graduate, you should:
have extensive knowledge and understanding of the technical language and practices of accounting and finance (for example, financial and managerial accounting, audit and taxation);
be able to record and summarise transactions, prepare financial statements and forecasts, and analyse business operations;
be able to evaluate the performance and financial situation of organisations;
be able to select and apply appropriate accounting and financial management tools to support organisational planning, decision making and control.
What are my career prospects?
Many graduates enter the accountancy professions, but you will also be equipped to pursue a career in finance (e.g. stock broking, investment banks, insurance), commerce, industry or public service.

You may also choose from options in international development, international finance and marketing.
In your final year, you will undertake a substantial research project, spanning both semesters.  Alongside your project, you will learn more about management accounting and business finance.  You will also learn about:
Taxation in the UK and China
Auditing
The Analysis of Financial Statements, and
Strategic Management and Business Policy

Academic Requirements:
The University accepts a wide variety of school, college and foundation qualifications such as A-Level, AS-Level, IB and other equivalent overseas qualifications.
English Language Requirements:
All students must have acceptable English language qualifications to study at the University. Various English qualifications are acceptable including:
IELTS 5.5 for year 1 entry , or 6.5 for advanced standing; or
TOEFL 520 (paper-based), or 190 (computer-based) or 75 (iBT) for year 1 entry; or
TOEFL 570 (paper-based), or 230 (computer-based) or 88 (iBT) for advanced standing, or
XJTLU English test.

A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.  Graduation certificate of high school
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

From professor,associate professor or equivalents.

6.  Certificate of English proficiency test
IELTS or TOEFl will only be required if the applicant is not a native English speaker.
