Because of its great strength, this discipline has been authorized to award both the master's and doctor's degrees in solid mechanics and to award the master's degree in structural engineering. Its primary researches are involved in elastic wave and its application in earthquake engineering & shock structure engineering, elastic-plastic fractural mechanics and its elastic deformation and variation method, optimum structuring and theory of construction reliability and its application, reinforced concrete structure, steel structure, structural emulation system and so on.
