Northeast Forestry University offers foreign students courses depending on different levels of proficiency in Chinese, including oral Chinese, listening, Chinese Literature, Writing, International Trade, Intensive Reading and HSK Training. Courses are basic, elementary, intermediate, advanced level classes as well as short-term class.

The teaching will emphasize on the ability of usage of daily conversation competence. Students will be divided into different levels according to teachers' assessmentIn this way, students will rapidly acquire comprehensive skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

The university offers extracurricular activities every semester, students can both pay visit to places of interest and take other activities, such as skiing, skating, view ice and snow sculptures. These will surely contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of Chinese history, culture and custom.

Students should apply for Spring Semester (from March to July) before January and for Autumn Semester (from September to January) before August.
