About the programme
The Master of Engineering Studies in Geotechnical Engineering programme aims to build on the geotechnical content of the BE (Civil) degree and develop graduates with enhanced ability to contribute to geotechnical engineering practice.
Courses
Successful completion of eight courses are required for this degree. Not all courses are offered every year.

This specialisation aims to address a shortage of suitably trained geotechnical engineering professionals.
Graduates will greatly enhance their ability to practice in the geotechnical engineering field, by extending their education in the area of their specialisation and by upgrading their current skills and training.
The programme will enable graduates to take leading roles in planning, evaluating, designing, constructing, maintaining, and managing the geotechnical infrastructure. The programme will also provide valuable background expertise for those wishing to enter into asset management or to begin to pursue a career in research and development.

A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.
3. Undergraduate certificate
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.
If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.
4. Transcript of Undergraduate school
5. English proficiency test certificate
For example, IELTS or TOEFL, only for applicant whose native language is not English.
6. Two recommendation letters
From professor,associate professor or equivalents.
7. Certificate of Bank Saving
