The Program of Chinese Public Policies at Nankai University is designed to prepare students to be the senior public management and policy personnel in the public sector by equipping them with a strategic foresight and a pioneering spirit as well as decision making and problem-solving capabilities.

Each Student in this program must complete 32 credits of course work (14 credits of compulsory courses, 18 credits of optional courses) and a thesis. Students spend two or three semesters taking required courses. In the second year, the student writes a thesis. While writing the exit paper, the student works closely with a professor who guides the project, helping the student gain in-depth knowledge about the chosen subject and experience in carrying out a research project.
