Jinshan Mountain is located in the west of the downtown and it is the famous tourist attraction. It covers 10 hectares. Jinshan Mountain is famous for its beauty. The most famous attraction is Jinshan Temple, which was established in East Jin Dynasty, and in Tang Dynasty publicly called Jinshan Temple. During the time of Song dynasty, the emperor visited Jinshan Temple in the dream and then gave the title of Longyou Temple (Dragon-Visit Temple). During the time of Qing dynasty, Emperor Kangxi visited Jiangnan and renamed it Jiangtian Temple. 

In the folklore, it was famous as the one part from story of Lady White Legend: Monk Fa Hai broke the happy marriage of Lady White and Xu Xian, and Fa Hai came from Jinshan Temple. Lady White came here in order to ask her husband, Xu Xian from Fa Hai, but this monk refused, and then the Lady White had no other choice but brought flood to submerge this mountain. Currently there are two caves respectively called Fa Hai Cave and Bai Long Cave illustrating this moving story. The Longevity Mountain of the Summer Palace in Beijing, Chengde Summer resort and the Small Jinshan Mountain of the Slender West Lake in Yangzhou were all impacted by the architectural arts.

Maoshan Mountain, originally called Juqu Mountain, is located in Jurong city, a southwest city of Jiangsu province. It is one of the main mountains in Jiangsu province. Maoshan Mountain is the integration of natural landscape, cultural landscape, forest scenery and so on. In many domestic movies especially many Hong Kong movies, many Taoists are from Maoshan Mountain and learned the supernatural power to conquer the evil ghost or some man-shape monsters.

Maoshan Mountain is strongly featured by the beautiful mountain, Buddhism saint, and unique caves and so on. 


Jiaoshan Moutain



Jiaoshan Mountain is located in the Yangzte River, 4.5 kilometers away from the northeast downtown of city. It is a natural and cultural scenic area. It is also called Fuyu Mountain for its all-mountain green which looks like the floating jade in the Yangtze River. It is the only scenic area surrounded by the Yangtze River. Jiaoshan Mountain originally called Qiaoshan Mountain (means the mountain for woodcutter living on cutting firewood). The temples are all covered by the old trees. Opposite to Jinshan Mountain, there is a famous temple called Dinghui Temple in Jiangnan area. 


Jiaoshan Mountain also has the valued”Four Treasures”. The ancient temple is the building of Ming dynasty. The main buildings are made of read columns and green tiles. It looks very elegant and traditional. The ancient trees are featured of the peculiarity, widely planted at the hillside, waterside and before and behind the temples.
