As an ancient country with a long civilization, China advocates international communication and loves world peace. Due to international community's support and China’s successful reform and opening-up, china win the bid for the World Exposition in 2010. The Expo will be the first registered World Expo in a developing country, which shows the expectations that the world's people place on China's future development.

Expo 2010, officially Expo 2010 Shanghai China was held on banks of the Huangpu River in the city of Shanghai, China, from May 1 to October 31, 2010. The theme of the shanghai expo was "Better City – Better Life" and it also signifies Shanghai's new wish in the 21st century as the "next great metropolitan city". The Expo emblem features the Chinese
character 世 ('world', Chinese "shì") modified to represent three people together with the 2010 date .On top of that, it had the largest number of countries participating and was the most expensive Expo in the history of the world's fairs .Besides that, the Shanghai World Expo had the largest World's Fair site ever at 5.28 square km.

By the end of the expo, it recorded 73 million people that had visited the word Expo and 250 countries and international organizations had participated. On October 16, 2010, the expo set a single-day record of having over 1.03 million visitors
